35th MAG Meeting of RACVIAC

Today has been held the 35th meeting of Multilateral Advisory Group (MAG) of the Center for Security and Cooperation RACVIAC.

The purpose of this meeting was the adoption of the program and budget of the RACVIAC (Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre) also the onward prospective and challenges related to the security commitments and challenges in the region and beyond.

Minister Kodheli proposes to decorate the fallen pilots, Captain Delia and Lieutenant Hoxha

Minister Kodheli has proposed to the President of the Republic of Albanian to award Captain Floran Delia and Lieutenant Donald Hoxha with the “Golden Eagle Decorate” (after death), under the motivation: “For activity or acts of bravery during peacetime.” The proposal of the minister comes as a result of the decision taken by the Central Status Commission “Martyr of the Nation” no. 705, date 06.04.2016 to declare them “Martyr of the Nation”.

EC 145 crash, Minister Kodheli meets the French Ambassador

Today the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli had a meeting with the Ambassador of France in Tirana, Mr. Bernard Fitoussi. The focus of this meeting was in the tragic incident in which Captain Floran Deliaj and Lieutenant Donald Hoxha fall in the line of duty meanwhile Private Second Class Soldier Gerald Baramuça was injured.

General Staff of Albanian Armed Forces informs the public opinion regarding the current progress of the work being done in resolving the tragic accident of the helicopter EC 145. Experts of the Eurocopter Company as well as American military experts specialized in this type of helicopter, convened by the Ministry of Defence in order to give their assistance in solving this incident, have assisted the investigative group headed by the Prosecution in order to draw the recording camera.
