2nd anniversary of the fall in line of duty of Captain Feti Vogli, Martyr of Homeland

Minister Kodheli:Captain Fetiu left his deed which is difficult to be forgotten, he is now part of our national memory.

At the premises of Special Forces Battalion in Zall-Herr took place today the commemoration ceremony in honour of the 2nd anniversary of the fall in the line of duty, during the “Eagle 4” mission in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of the Martyr of Homeland, Captain Feti Vogli. In this ceremony attended Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, the Land Force commander, Major General Zyber Dushku, generals, directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence, General Staff and Armed Forces, family members and relatives of Captain Feti Vogli, as well as other guests.

IMOC radar system in full efficiency

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo visited today the Inter-institutional Maritime Operational Centre in Plepa, Durrës, on the occasion of the capacity building of the maritime surveillance system. She was welcomed by the director of this centre, Major General (R) Maksim Malaj.
Minister Kodheli was briefed on the work made for the surveillance and control of the marine space by the personnel of this centre. During the meetings she had with the leadership and specialists of this institution, it was confirmed to defence minister that the radar system, non-functional for more than three years, is completely efficient. This system gave its results just yesterday, making possible the detection and seizure of a ship in Ksamil, which was forces to throw away at sea 50 kg of marijuana.

Minister Kodheli meets Royal Marines Commandant, Major General Ed Davis

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli met today the Commandant General of Royal Marines, Major General Ed Davis, who is in an official visit in the framework of Albania-UK bilateral relations. At the meeting attended the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo and British Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Nicholas Cannon. Defence Minister Kodheli praised the support and assistance United Kingdom has given to Albania and Albanian Armed Forces (AAF) in the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, highlighting the fact that this visit is an expression of the growing cooperation between our two armed forces.

Minister Kodheli inspects Armed Forces action for litter collection

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, closely inspected the second phase of the Armed Forces’ action for litter collection. Initially, they were stopped at the Morina’s border crossing point, where many military troops were clearing the territory. Further, they have stopped along the road from Marina to Tirana, where Armed Forces troops were engaged and followed the litter collection.
