The General Staff of the Armed Forces expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Arben Dosku, who lost his life today, and Lavdrim and Alfred Dosku, who were wounded in the village of Zgarë, Librazhd. The Armed Forces have done and will continue to do everything possible to avoid incidents of this kind causing the loss of human lives or damage to people, but we note with concern that too little is done by local government.
The Armed Forces through protection, patrolling, surveillance, placement of necessary signs, awareness campaigns and in cooperation with local government make maximum efforts to avoid these incidents. Despite these measures, we inform that it is impossible the physical and continuous control of these remote areas that once served as demolition ranges. The General Staff of the Armed Forces assures the public that there is no demolition process underway in this area, since it was concluded in September 2012, however, cautiousness must be continuous.
