The Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces continue litter collection along the coastline

Following the litter collection action along the coastline with the motto, “Albania belong to us all, let’s keep it clean”, the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Armed Forces joined today the action for litter collection along the coastal areas of southern Albania.

The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo closely inspected the action of the Armed Forces troops in Dhërmi. In his speech, Major General Jeronim Bazo said: “We are successfully continuing the second phase of litter collection and it is very important for the community to cooperate and become part of the action.”

Defence Minister Kodheli inspects the Military Factory in Gramsh

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli inspected today the military factory in Gramsh. Initially, Minister Kodheli was welcomed by the Director of the Factory, Mr. Klodian Taçe, who briefed her on the progress of the dismantling and destruction process of surplus ammunition and light weapons, and on the achievements and problems identified during this process.

Later, Minister Kodheli inspected closely the wards and premises of the factory, focusing especially on the line of dismantling of ammunition and light infantry weapons, both projects funded by the NATO Support Agency (NSPA).

Defence Intelligence Agency’s Training Centre takes the name of “Shawn Pine”

In the premises of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), it was held today the ceremony of awarding the medal “For Distinguished Services” (after death) to Lieutenant Colonel Shawn Pine, as well as giving his name to the Defence Intelligence Agency’s Training Centre. At the ceremony attended the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, generals and other senior militaries of the Armed Forces, the U.S. Defence Attaché, Commander (N) Ralph Shield, etc.

The Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces participate in the litter collection along the coastline

In the context of the litter collection throughout the territory, at the request of the Ministry of Urban Development and Tourism, the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces joined the litter collection action with the motto “Albania belongs to all, let’s keep it clean”.

Defence Minister Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo and the head of the National Coastline Agency, Mr. Auron Tare, inspected the work of the Armed Forces in Velipoja and Shëngjin.
