The purpose of this conference is to support and build confidence in the use of common funds, to create knowledge, understanding and support for the ongoing work of the NATO HQs, as well as promote the growth of effective cooperation between different views and concerns of states member.

Press Release

The General Staff of the Armed Forces (GSAF) of the Republic of Albania, with regard to comments made by Rear Admiral Kristaq Gerveni to some media of the country, on the noncompliance of the administrative order of the Minister of Defence for the “Handover of assignment and return back to the country”, states that, the implementation of the order “is not debatable, but it is executable rapidly and precisely” according to the clause 5.2.2, article 2, section V of the Regulation on Life within Armed Forces, approved by order of Minister of Defence no. 1821, dated 09.11.2011.

Defence Minister Kodheli at the Foreign Policy Committee

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli took part today at the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy, to discuss and approve the “Military and Financial Cooperation Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and Government of the Republic of Turkey” and the “Implementation Protocol of the financial aid between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and Government of the Republic of Turkey”. The agreement is proposed by the Turkish side as continuation of the annual aid Turkish State provides for the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.
