U.S. Secretary of Defence, Mr. Chuck Hagel, thank you letter to Minister Kodheli

The Secretary of Defence of the Unites States of America, Mr. Chuck Hagel has sent a thank you letter to the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Albania, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, for the help Albania has provided in support of the efforts of the coalition in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

In his message, Secretary Hagel stresses that, “Albania’s generous donation in support of the Government of Iraq and specifically the Peshmerga has been instrumental in mitigating the ongoing crisis.

Friendly match between the representatives of the AAF and KSF

In the framework of the bilateral cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania and the Security Force of the Republic of Kosovo, at the national stadium “Qemal Stafa” took place this afternoon a friendly match between the football team of the Albanian Armed Forces (AAF) and of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).

In this sportive activity attended Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Kadri Kastrati and a large number of military and civilian employees of the Armed Forces, representatives of KSF, as well as plenty of sports fans of the Capital.

Presentation of the new Director of the Intelligence and Defence Security Agency

According to the international agreements, in which Albania is a party, the neighboring NATO member countries conduct the air policing of the territory of the Republic of Albania.
