Medals awarded to 26 military service members and civilians from AAF, Xhaçka: the man is the greatest asset of AAF

23 servicemen of different ranks and 3 civilians being part the Armed Forces institutions were awarded medals by the minister of Olta Xhaçka.
The decoration was awarded in recognition of different acts, such us bravery and contribution for meritorious achievement, meritorious service above and beyond the call of duty.
Minister Xhaçka in her speech thanked them for their cooperation in serving our country and community by evaluating that man is the greatest asset of AAF. “Each of you, indisputably any effective of AAF and employee of this Ministry, has helped me to push forward the Defence Reforms, to support our men and women in uniform, at home and abroad, to help every Albanian family in difficulty caused by bad weather conditions or high temperatures, as now our institution is responsible for civil emergencies.
Children of the 1st Infantry’s Battalion servicemen celebrate the festivities under the special care of MoD

Under the special care of the Minister of Defence and the Center of Culture, the children of the 1-st Infantry Battalion servicemen in Vau Dejë participated in a specially organized event on the occasion of the festive season.
The children shared songs, poems and jokes, while they were also entertained by animators and their adorable characters.
In the celebration took part the Defence Deputy Minister Petro Koçi and the Chief of General Staff, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku.

93 years after its creation, the Albanian Naval Force, like the Armed Forces has undergone profound transformations that have responded to the demands and challenges of the time.
Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka said that today, this force has been re-conceptualized, restructured and naturally integrated with other structures of our Armed Forces, becoming part of NATO naval defense system.
"In our long-term plans, we have envisaged the development and enhancement of the Naval Force's operational capabilities and its modernization with modern equipment and vessels, staff training according to Alliance standards, so we can respond not only to our demands but also to those of NATO ", - said Minister Xhaçka.
Albanian soldier back home from Afganistan, surprises his family

66 Albanian soldiers, part of the first and third Infantry Battalion, returned from Kabul where they served for about 6 months in Afghanistan, in NATO Resolute Support Mission.
The effectives were welcomed at the airport by their family members, except for one of them. Sergeant Ervin Todo of the Poshnje Battalion, who chose to surprise his family. The surprise video was published in social networks by Defence Minister, Olta Xhaçka.
Defence Minister Xhaçka receives NATO Deputy Secretary: we have increased by three times our presence in Afghanistan

NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller announced from Tirana that the Alliance will invest 51 million euro in the Kuçova Airbase, meanwhile congratulating the engagement of the Albanian troops in NATO missions and welcomed the Albanian Government's decision to increase the Defence Spending to 2% of GDP by 2024.
At the Joint Press Conference, Olta Xhaçka emphasized the increasing by three times of Albanian troops in Afghanistan and welcomed the decision of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo to transform the Kosovo Security Force into the Kosovo Armed Forces.
