Xhaçka appeals to Military Attachés: Greater engagement on projects with Allies

Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka had an end of year meeting with Albanian Military Attachés. In the meeting she asked their maximum engagement and attention for new cooperation projects with the countries where they are accredited. "Your role and work for the next year should focus even more on fostering joint projects between our country and the countries where you are carrying your mission, in order to strengthen the Armed Forces. Specializing our effectives and comparative advantage are two features that day by day are characterizing our Armed Forces, so your contribution and proactive role in terms of education and joint training will increase the quality of AF's performance" - said the Minister.

Military families provide aid to flood affected population, Xhaçka: AAF engaged in the post-emergency management phase

Not only the Armed Forces, but also their families have come together to help flood affected people. Through an initiative undertaken by the AAF, by means of a financial contribution, they have assisted more than 200 families. Assistance, which consists of clothing, food, detergents and monetary value, will be distributed to families who need support during these difficult days.

Minister Xhaçka brings together the Ambassadors of the European Union: Thank you for supporting us

At the Center for the Reception and Administration of Aids regarding the recent floods at Support Command, the first aids from abroad have started to arrive. Up to now, besides the neighboring countries that have provided assistance, the EU Civil Protection Mechanism has also responded positively to some European Union member states through the Emergency Response Coordination Center (ERCC).

At the Center for the Reception and Administration of Aids (at Support Command) for the recent floods were the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka and the diplomatic representatives of these countries. They closely saw the aids received from their countries, and met with some of the effectives engaged in coping with flooding. Minister Xhaçka thanked the representatives of the countries that provided assistance to face this situation and praised the engagement of Albanian military, not only during the most difficult days but also in the post-management phase.

Floods, Minister Xhaçka in Parliament: A very effective and well-organized management of the situation

The Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka spoke at the plenary session of the Assembly regarding the recent floods and the commitment of the Armed Forces for the management of this situation.

Minister Xhaçka thanked the Armed Forces for their contribution during the most difficult times, considering their role as very effective and very well organized.

Later on, Minister Xhaçka cited the investments made by the government, without which the damages would be much more considerable, without forgetting to mention the compensation of the residents affected by previous floods.

Reward for 2917 Armed Forces employees

The Council of Ministers allocated over 63 million ALL as a reward for 2917 Armed Forces and 330 State Police employees for their engagement and dedication for the assistance given to the residents affected by the flooding of this month.

At her release to the media shortly after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka thanked the AAF for their work and assured them they would always have her attention as well as the government's attention.
