Albania reconfirms its participation in all missions, where the Albanian Armed Forces are committed. It was stated by the Albanian Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, at the Ministerial of Defense of 30 NATO member states, gathered for the second time online due to COVID - 19.
The meeting was scheduled to be held in Tirana, but the pandemic of the last three months made it impossible to organize in our country, one of the most important annual events of the Alliance.

127 new recruits resume Basic Individual Training at the Troop School in Bunavi, Vlora

In the framework of the implementation of organizational and administrative measures throughout the conducting of the teaching/training process in Training and Doctrine Command institutions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, according to an order for this purpose, today was held the reception of 127 new recruits, of which 10 girls, who will resume the Basic Individual Training at the Troop School in Bunavi, Vlora.

In a special ceremony held at Farka Air Base, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka and the US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim signed the contract of acceptance to equip the Albanian Air Force with Black Hawk helicopters. Helicopters, assisted by the US government, are expected to arrive in Albania soon, and for Minister Xhaçka, this contribution increases the capability of the Albanian Armed Forces.

Albanian Armed Forces serviceman is awarded with the highest NATO medal

NATO Secretary General Mr. Jens Stoltenberg has awarded Colonel Roland Shuli, on duty at NATO Supreme Allied Command in Europe (SHAPE) with the medal "NATO Meritorious Service Medal" with motivation "For outstanding service while serving in NATO".
On this occasion, a ceremony was held at SHAPE, where Major General Barre Seguin, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at SHAPE, on behalf of the Supreme Alliance Command (SACEUR) introduced the medal to Colonel Roland Shuli.
