Fires in the country - AKMC letter to municipalities and the Police: Measures must be taken to prevent and to punish those responsible

The National Agency for Civil Protection (NACP) has addressed today two letters to 61 municipalities, 12 prefects and the State Police regarding the situation of fires in the country.
AKMC urges municipalities to take comprehensive measures to prevent and minimize fire damages. It also urges mayors to use all operational capacities to cope with these situations.
"Local government shall provide real-time information on the occurrence of fires. Municipalities shall conduct mandatory training for employees regarding fire situations. Municipalities must be on alert and use all firefight capacities. According to the law, the municipalities, the volunteers and the citizens themselves, have the capacity to extinguish fires.” - is written on the letter addressed to the municipalities and prefectures.

New buoys placed to define and mark the Albania-Montenegro border in Shkodra Lake

For Albanian and Montenegrin fishermen, also for the Border Police of both countries will be easier to orient and distinguish the border line while navigating in Shkodra Lake.
The Joint Commission for the Reconstruction and Repair of Signs on the State Borders Albania-Montenegro, which includes the Hydrographic Service of the Navy, the Institute of Geography and Military Infrastructure and the Border Police, decided to place 6 buoys in full agreement with the Montenegrin side (new distinctive marking signs in the lake).
The placement was carried out by an Air Force "Cougar" helicopter.

The queue in Kakavija border-crossing ends, Xhaçka: During the last 24 hours 3,325 citizens and 1,629 vehicles passed the border

Shortly after midnight, the queue ended in Kakavija border-crossing, where for days the citizens have been waiting in long queues, thus creating a tense situation. The Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka informs that during the last 24 hours, 3,325 citizens and 1,629 vehicles passed through Kakavija border-crossing. At 00.40 this unusual situation ended, when the last citizen passed.
Meanwhile, the Defense Minister expressed gratitude for all the structures engaged in this operation in these difficult days.

Minister Xhaçka confirms: Kakavija and Kapshtica border-crossing points will remain open until 22:00, on Monday, no passes without a form and negative test results

The Defense Minister, Olta Xhaçka, who is closely following the whole situation created at the Kakavija border-crossing point, announced that an agreement has been reached with the Greek side that Kapshtica border-crossing will remain open until 22:00 in the evening of this Sunday. "We bring to your attention that tomorrow the new restriction starts from the Greek side by setting quotas and requests for a form and negative test results", said Minister Xhaçka. She calls on the citizens that starting from Monday, August 17; no one shall show up at the two border-crossing points in Kakavija and Kapshtica without the form and the negative test results.
