Armed Forces begin the construction of a Bailey bridge in Mirdita

The Engineering Battalion of the Support Command began work on the construction of a Bailey bridge in Jezull village. The new bridge, which will be about 25 meters long and will have a load capacity of about 45 tons, is being built in cooperation with the municipality of Mirdita, which has previously built its concrete legs.

The construction of the bridge will significantly facilitate the movement of 1,150 inhabitants of the villages of Jezull and Sheshaj, in the Administrative Unit Rrëshen and villages Prosek and Rrushkull of the Administrative Unit Kthellë.

Minister Xhacka in Germany: Justice Reform has frightened anti-reformist actors

During her visit in Berlin, the Albanian Defence Minister, Mrs. Olta Xhacka was welcomed at a special meeting by the German Defence Minister, Ursula von der Leyen. The conferred about the intensification of relations between the two countries and the European perspective of our country.
Minister Xhaçka thanked her counterpart Ursula von der Leyen for the generous support and assistance that Albania has received from the German Government, while praising the special role that Germany plays as a guarantor of security and stability in the region.
Xhaçka and Von der Leyen mostly focused on the country's integration processes into the European family and on the anticipated vote for the opening of Albania's membership negotiations.

Defence Minister Mrs. Olta Xhaçka on official visit in Germany

Albanian Defence Minister, Mrs. Olta Xhacka is on an official visit in Berlin.

She will be welcomed at a special meeting by Defence Minister of Germany, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen.

The focus of the discussion is expected to be the relationship between the two countries in the field of defense and security, as well as the current situation in Albania.

Albania is expecting the Council's decision by EU Ministers to open the negotiations.

Coastal shooting drills by Naval Force ships

Naval Forces ships and their crew tested their ability to protect themselves against threats that might come from the ground.
For two days, seven ship out of the Albanian Naval Force and about 110 members of their respective crew, held military maneuvers in the Bay of Vlora, Sazan Island and west of the peninsula.
