Blendi Vathi is Adviser at Defence Minister Cabinet since July 2021.

He completed his higher studies at Faculty of Political and Legal Science, University of Tirana, in the years 1988-1992, receiving the title "Lawyer".

His career started in 1992 where he was appointed inspector in the State Control Commission in Tirana. In the years 1993 - 2000 he worked as a lawyer in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tirana in several leading positions, as a legal advisor; secretary of the Court of Arbitration; representative at ICC, Paris; director of the Legal and Trademarks, Patents and Designs Directorate; member of several boards of directors in state institutions as a member of the Board in the Directorate of Standards and Quality, member of the Committee of Certified Public Accountants, member of the Board of Directors of the Directorate of Metrology and Weightlifting and at the same time Foreign Advisor to the Minister; member of inter-institutional working groups related to the drafting of mainly commercial and local government legislation.

From 2000 to 2004, he worked as director of the Directorate of Prefectures and head of the Cabinet of the Minister in the Ministry of Local Government, Tirana. In the period September 2004 - December 2005 he exercised the function of Secretary General in the Ministry of Public Order.

During 2017 he worked as a legal advisor at the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Control of Assets, Tirana.
He has very good knowledge of English and Italian and is fluent in Serbian.

Field of engagement: Legal Advisor, covers the work related to the control and supervision of the drafting of legal and sub-legal acts by the relevant directorates in the Ministry of Defense and the National Agency of Civil Emergencies.
