Institute of Military Infrastructure and Geography (IMIG)

The Institute of Geography and Military Infrastructure (IMIG) outlines the design standards for specific constructions in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.

This institution carries out technical opposition for projects and constructions and cooperates with various institutions inside and outside the country.

Inter-institutional Maritime Operations Center (IMOC)

The Inter-institutional Maritime Operations Centre (IMOC) is an inter-ministerial institution responsible for ensuring the surveillance of the Albanian Maritime Space, in order to carry out the organization, planning, coordination and direction of operations at sea, in accordance with National and International Maritime Legislation.

Military Export and Import Company (MEICO)

Military Export Import Company (MEICO) is a state enterprise subordinate to the Ministry of Defense. This enterprise was established in 1991 and since that it has been carrying out its activities and activities to meet the needs of the Albanian Armed Forces and other institutions with specific military import goods, as well as exports of new military goods and stocks of the Albanian Armed Forces, as well as products of the Military Industry.

Naval Force/Coast Guard

The Coast Guard, as an integral component of the Naval Force, operates under the authority of the Ministry of Defense in accordance with Article 3 of Law No. 8875, dated 04.04.2002, “On the Albanian Coast Guard.” In line with Article 4 of the same law, its organizational structure is approved by the Minister of Defense.

The Coast Guard is equipped with naval vessels as defined in the organizational structure of the Naval Force/Coast Guard.

National Civil Protection Agency (NCPA)

The National Civil Protection Agency (ACPA) is an integral part of the structure of the Ministry of Defense.

The National Civil Protection Agency is a structure responsible for disaster risk reduction and civil protection throughout the territory of the Republic of Albania.

National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC)

The National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC) is a public legal entity under the authority of the Ministry of Defense, responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and conducting search and rescue operations in the Republic of Albania. It ensures the overall coordination of search and rescue service operations and maintains direct communication with counterpart services in other countries.

The National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC) also serves as the Rescue Coordination Center (RCC).

State Export Control Authority (SECA)

The State Export Control Authority (SECA) is a central institution, with the status of a public legal entity, subordinate to the Minister of Defense, which has as its object of activity state control over the export, import, transit, transfer and intermediary activities for military goods and dual-use goods and technologies.
