Minister Kodheli takes part in the Defence Ministerial in Brussels

NATO Defence ministers’ meeting has started today in Brussels, where they have also established the main milestones on which will be discussed the strengthening of Alliance’s defense capacities. During this day, the ministers dealt with and set up concrete steps on strengthening the collective defense of NATO. In particular, they discussed about NATO’s posture in deterring and defending risks (Deterrence and Defense). At this point, it was agreed on the deployment and magnitude of NATO advanced force on its eastern borders, as well as the continuance of work in examining the proposals to extend this deployment and in the Black Sea area.

Albanian Commando embark on their mission in Afghanistan

A group of AAF Commando Battalion embarked today on their peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, in the framework of AAF’s contribution on NATO operation “Resolute Support Mission”.  In the ceremony held in the premises of Special Forces Battalion in Zall-Herr, took part Defence Minister, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Deputy Defence Minister, Mr. Petro Koci, Chief of General Staff of AAF, Major General Jeronim Bazo, Turkish Ambassador in Albania, Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar, commanders of forces, and family relatives of militaries that are going on that mission, ect.

342 new militaries of AAF have been certified and taken their military oath

Today 342 militaries will jon the Albanian Armed Forces. The new recruits that have decided to join the AAF have taken their oath at the ceremony organized for their certification in the Troop Scool in Bunavi. Deputy Defence Minister Petro Koçi during his speech attributed this day as a special day and day of pride, which cannot repeated again, regardless of the careers that will make every member of  military.

Ministry of Defence, the institution with the highest level of transparency in Albania, an IDRA Survey

The Ministry of Defence is ranked as the first institution in terms of transparency in the country. These are the findings of the survey on perceptions and experiences of citizens related to corruption in Albania . The survey is undertaken by the Institute for Development Research and Alternatives (IDRA). Respondents have ranked Ministry of Defence as the institution with the highest level of transparency in the country.
