The Ministry of Defence welcomes the personal commitment of Attorney General, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, regarding the denunciation made by the Ministry for the lack of explosives, created over the years, in the warehouses near the village of Nuaj, in Kruja.
After the approval of the new structure by the President of the Republic, among others, based on an order of the Minister of Defence, in October 2014, a comprehensive and detailed process of inventory began throughout the country. The Minister demanded the process to be conducted at the same time throughout the country with the presence of the members of the committee, commands, Ministry and General Staff, a process which is still under way.

Air Force receives the fourth “Cougar” helicopter

The Ministry of Defence received the fourth “Cougar” helicopter. On this occasion, a special ceremony was organized in the premises of the Helicopters Air Base in Farka. At the ceremony attended the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, Ambassador of the Republic of France in Tirana, Mr. Bernanrd Fitoussi, generals and other senior militaries of the Ministry of Defence, General Staff and Armed Forces.

Minister Kodheli, phone conversation with her German counterpart

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli had a phone conversation with the Minister of Defence of Germany, Ms. Ursula von der Leyen. During the conversation both counterparts discussed about Defence and Security issues in the region and beyond. They also talked about the situation in the Alliance’s borders, as well as about efforts to address risks, knowing that Albania is part of the coalition, donating weapons and ammunition to the Iraqi Government.

Ministry of Defence, agreement with Posta Shqiptare

The Ministry of Defence and Posta Shqiptare signed today an agreement of cooperation, which increases transparency and offers faster and qualitative service to the citizens. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli and the General Director of Posta Shqiptare, Mr. Majlind Lazimi. Through this agreement, assistance will be provided to a category of high importance, which are the Armed Forces or to all those who serve in the military system, as well as to their families. The provision of the service through Posta Shqiptare avoids corruption, reduces bureaucratic procedures, reducing the time of getting this service.
