New soldiers of the Armed Forces take the oath

The oath ceremony of the recruits, who just finished the Course of Individual Training, took place in the premises of the Troop School in Bunavi. At the same time, the soldiers who finished the Course of the Advanced Individual Training were certified. Minister of Defense Mrs. Kodheli, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Dede Prenga, Training and Doctrines Command Commander, Brigadier General Manushaqe Shehu , force commanders, directors, and family members and relatives of recruits were present at the ceremony.

Ministry of Defence (through “MEICO”) starting from 2013 has adopted the position that all its activity relative to the export of arm and munition stockpiles inherited from the end of the cold war, is to be effectuated only with “end user” states that are NATO Member States.

This activity is conform with the international legislation, the obligations that Albania has as a NATO member state, as well as various commitments, agreements and treaties ratified by our country.

Continues the opening of Mobilization Offices across the country

During this week as part of ongoing steps to invigorate the reservist notion, the Defence Minister, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli participated in the event of opening the Mobilization Offices in Durrës, Berat and Lushnjë. Accompanied by the members of parliament and representatives of local government, Minister Kodheli announced presence of such offices in every county, believing that the reserve military men have been, are, and will be an important force and strata of the society in support of the active Armed Forces.

Minister Kodheli receives Montenegrin counterpart Bošković

Today Defence Minister, Mrs. Kodheli, received the Defence Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Predrag Bošković.
After welcoming Minister Bošković in our country, Mrs. Kodheli considered this visit as an excellent opportunity to reconfirm that Montenegro will soon officially become a full member in NATO.
Minister Kodheli greeted the Albanians of Montenegro, who she considered as a lasting bridge between the two countries, and underlined that the common future is NATO and the European Union.
