Facing emergencies, Prime Minister Rama thanks the Armed Forces

The Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka thanked the Armed Forces for their engagement in facing the difficult situation caused by the bad weather last weekend. In his speech at the meeting attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and family members of the effectives, the Head of the Government stated that the budget in 2019 regarding the increase of salaries for the military will be the top priority.
“I, today, commit myself in front of you that 2018 will be the last year in which the state budget will have the existing salaries for you. We are determined to increase the Army budget, which we have already done with the 2018 budget, but growth will continue to reach an objective. And the first priority increase for 2019 will be the substantial increase of salaries of all the military, "said Rama. The prime minister promised the people who were facing the natural disaster that they would receive the merited remuneration for this commitment, which according to him saved human lives.

The elements for 90m Bailey bridge are ready, Kosovo responds to Albania's request for help

At Morina border crossing point there were 15 heavy tonnage trucks, which transported from Kosovo to Albania the material for the construction of 90 m Bailey bridge. This assistance comes in response to the request for help from Albania which was made after the recent floods, where over 65 bridges were heavily damaged.
Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Brigadier General Dedë Prenga praised the contribution of the Kosovo Security Force in overcoming the difficult situation of the last day.

Completed the 9th Senior Security and Defense Course

In the premises of the auditorium at the Ministry of Defense, took place the Graduation Ceremony of the students of the Senior Security and Defense Course (SSDC). AAF provide medical help in the areas affected by floods

Albanian Armed Forces continue their engagement in the service of the residents affected by floods.
13 doctors and nurses of the Armed Forces have been on Wednesday in the village of Ferras of the Levan Administrative Unit in the Municipality of Fier, where they have performed specialist visits with doctors of various specialties (pneumologist, cardiologist, general pathologists, radiologist with ultrasound etc.)

Contacts of the Center for the Reception and Administration of the Humanitarian Aids

In the framework of increasing the efficiency and presence at the right time and place of the civilian emergency response and civilian authorities, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Albania has established the Center for the Reception and Administration of the Humanitarian Aids.
This center will help all stakeholders, such as: International Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, Voluntary Groups etc. Those who want to give their contribute to the families affected by the recent flooding.
As a result of the situation created, the Ministry of Defense has published the contact points for the management and the administration of the aids for people affected by the rainfalls, as well as the bank account numbers in case of financial contribution.
