Xhaçka and Veliaj inspect the marketplaces in Tirana. Punishment against transgressors, we must preserve what we achieved

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka and the Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, a few days after the new measures on the marketplaces were imposed, inspected the fruit and vegetable marketplaces in Kombinat and elsewhere in Tirana.

In all inspected marketplaces did notice the awareness of the citizens on social distancing and standing in a queue, according to the established parameters.

Covid - 19 situation, Ministry of Defense and the foundation “A different weekend” deliver 45 ton of food in Shkodra.

A few days after the delivery of about 208 packages to families in need in Shkodra, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka and members of the Armed Forces came back again in this city, where in cooperation with the foundation “A different weekend” delivered to the local authorities 45 tons of food for the most affected families by the situation of COVID - 19.

In handing over these aids, the Defense Ministe, together with the Prefect Çesk Millja, the Mayor of Shkodra Voltana Ademi and representatives of the Clergy, emphasized that the families in need have been identified and the aid will be distributed immediately.

Albania celebrates 11 years of NATO membership

11 years have passed since Albania joined NATO. It is a historic day for all Albanians. A day when Albania became a member of the largest military alliance in history. Therefore, today I want to express my gratitude to all those who have worked so hard to make this aspiration of the Albanians a reality. I would also like to thank all the allies, especially the United States of America, who believed in Albania and welcomed Albania to the ranks of allies.

Birthday at virus time, Minister Xhaçka's special congratulation to the military on duty

Major Bledar Bimaj, the Commander of the Military Police Operation in carrying out government measures against COVID-19 has had a different birthday this year.

Major Bimaj's colleagues surprised their Commander. He blew out  the candles of his birthday cake placed on one of the AAF armored vehicles .

The Commander of the Operation Unit in the capital was also congratulated by Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, who posted on her Facebook account the video of his colleagues' surprise.
