The Albanian Government is determined to continue the fight against organized crime and narcotics removing Albania from black list where the previous government had introduced it. Assaulting the Armed Forces for offering logistic support to the State Police and to the Ministry of Interior in these operations means an assault to the State, protecting crime and drug trafficking. As for the Prosecution, we invite it to deepen its investigation in all cases where means or even worse, Commando and Special Forces of the Armed Forces are improperly used for gold research or protection of private businesses, such as the Wrestling Championship, without mentioning here the transportation of singers.

“Open Day” of the “Albanian Lion '14” Exercise

At the Rinas airport took place today the “Open Day” of the joint Albanian-British exercise, “Albanian Lion 2014”. At the ceremony attended the Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Dritan Hila, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, UK Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Nicholas Cannon, generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces, defence attachés accredited to our country and families of servicemen of the Armed Forces participating in the joint Albanian-British exercise, “Albanian Lion”.

At the Naval Base in Kepi i Palit (Bisht-Palla), it was held today the “Distinguished Visitors Day” of the joint Albanian-British exercise, “Albanian Lion 14”. At the event attended the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bujar Nishani, Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, British Rear Admiral, Bob Tarrant, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, the UK Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Nicholas Cannon, Members of Parliament, defence attachés accredited to our country, etc.

24 Albanian military completed training at the OCS of New Jersey Guard

24 young Albanian officers were commissioned after successfully completing a pilot program at the Officer Candidate School (OCS) of New Jersey Guard in the USA.

At the ceremony organized on this occasion attended Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Dritan Hila, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, the US Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Alexander Arvizu, Commander of the New Jersey National Guard, Brigadier General Michael Cunniff, generals and directors of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff, defence attachés accredited in Tirana, representatives of the office of ODC and CUBIC, family members and relatives of the commissioned officers, etc.
