Special Forces challenge terrain and snow, unusual exercise in Voskopoja

In difficult weather conditions, cold temperatures, and snow, Special Forces personnel were trained for the first time only with their personal equipment, in Voskopoja, Korça.
This exercise, codenamed "Selita 02", aimed at testing capabilities away from permanent deployment.

Special Forces, 72-hour training in extreme weather in Voskopoja

The Special Forces Battalion of the Special Operations Regiment in the Land Force is conducting training in extreme weather conditions and in the presence of snow in Voskopoja, Korça.
This training is being organized in the framework of the annual training plan of the Land Force, which is testing the operational capabilities in the winter exercise "Selita 02".
Over 500 food packages are distributed to the remote areas of Shkodra county

Over 500 packages mainly with food and detergents were distributed by the National Agency of Civil Emergencies in the municipalities of Puka and Malësi e Madhe. The food packages were provided by the State Material Reserves after the request made by the mayors of these municipalities and the prefect of Shkodra county, Majlinda Angoni.
Specifically, to the Municipality of Puka there were transported 300 packages, while to that of Malësia e Madhe, 205 packages.
The packages in these remote areas were sent to help families in need, those with social, health or elderly problems who live alone and who have encountered severe difficulties due to severe weather and low temperatures.
Completed the special course, 14 new staff members are certified, 4 from Kosovo

Fourteen troops, including four from Kosovo, completed the XIII Basic Course of Special Forces.
The ceremony organized on this occasion was attended by the Defence Ministers of Albania and Kosovo, Niko Peleshi and Armend Mehaj, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Bajram Begaj, as well as commanders of forces from Albania and Kosovo.
