6 generals promoted, Peleshi: We are increasing the dignity of the Armed Forces

After the decree by the President of the Republic, at the Ministry of Defense was held the promotion ceremony for Rear Admiral Adnand Agastra, Brigadier General Editson Zarka, Brigadier General Petrit Çuni, Brigadier General Ferdinand Dimo, Brigadier General Ilir Pujo and Brigadier General Ylli Pulaj. Present at the ceremony were the Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Assoc. Prof. Bajram Begaj, Deputy Defence Minister Dallëndyshe Bici and relatives of the generals.

During his speech Minister Peleshi expressed his excitement for the completion of the promotion process with a great speed compared to past experiences. The Minister considered this a motivation process for the members of the Armed Forces, from the first soldier to the highest ranks.

The Ministry of Defense is monitoring the situation caused by high-intensity rainfall in recent days. Following the information which the structures of National Civil Protection Agency have provided about the endangered residents by heavy rains, the Armed Forces are engaged on the ground to ensure their safety.

The General Director of the National Civil Protection Agency, Haki Cako, and the Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response Robert Hysenllari are monitoring the dangerous situation on the ground.
