Decisions of the Civil Protection Committee regarding the situation created at "Mother Teresa" Airport

The Civil Protection Committee met online to discuss the problems created at "Mother Teresa" International Airport and about the necessary measures to normalize the situation.
The Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, at the same time the chairman of the Civil Defense Committee, after getting acquainted with the concerns created in recent days at the International Airport "Mother Teresa", due to the boycott of Alb Control controllers, noted that Pursuant to Law 45/2019, dated 18.07.2019 "On Civil Protection", Rinas International Airport is considered critical infrastructure, moreover according to Article 43, it is considered critical infrastructure with cross-border effect.

FA nurses engage in vaccination of the population against COVID - 19

Doctors and nurses of the Armed Forces have joined their colleagues in vaccination of the population against COVID - 19.

Currently, the doctors and nurses of the Armed Forces are engaged in vaccinating people over 70 years old, in the center set up for this purpose in "Skënderbej" square.
Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, closely watched the vaccination process and the work of the nurses who are in uniform.
Minister Peleshi expressed his satisfaction that the vaccination started and expressed his readiness to aid the Ministry of Health not only in Tirana, but wherever it is needed.

Arjan Sala is declared “Martyr Of The Nation”

The Central Commission for the Status of "Martyr of the Nation" under the direction of the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, declared "Martyr of the Nation" the citizen Arjan Fadil Sala, who lost his life defending his colleagues during the fire in a shopping mall in Tirana.

The heroic act of the citizen, Arjan Sala, was honored with the highest status, with the motivation: "Lost his life in an attempt to save the population in case of disaster".
The Central Commission for the "Martyr of the Nation" Status decided to give a monthly financial reward to the family of the martyr, according to the certificate of marital status at the time of his death, starting from the date of announcement of the decision.

US donates 29 Humvee to the Albanian Armed Forces

The 2nd Infantry Battalion of the Land Force (b2k) is one step closer to its full mechanization. The U.S. Government donated 29 new, armored, versatile, and high-mobility (Humvee) vehicles to this NATO-declared facility.

Minister Peleshi thanked the USA for the continuous assistance it has provided for the modernization of the Armed Forces, training, and education of our personnel.

The agreement for the medical treatment of the Albanian military troops in Turkey is signed

The "Protocol between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Turkey for cooperation in the field of Military Medicine" was signed at the Ministry of Defense.
The protocol was signed by General Director of Defense Policy Florian Kali and Turkish Military Attaché in Tirana Colonel Muhammet Kelami Kablay.
