Peleshi inspects the "bailey" bridge in Voskopoja: 25 bridges have been built in two years and the cooperation with the local government will continue

In the presence of the residents of the area, Defence Minister Niko Peleshi inspected the completion of the construction of the "bailey" bridge over the river Dunavec in the Voskopoja village of Korça.

Accompanied by the director of the Civil Protection Agency Haki Çako and the mayor of Korça Sotiraq Filo, Minister Peleshi noted the fact that for a long time the Armed Forces, through the coordination of the Civil Defense Agency are in support of the communities throughout the whole country to make the civilians' lives easier, being on alert even in cases of natural disasters alongside the local government.

Ministry of Defense issues 4 million $ to municipalities for natural disasters

The Ministry of Defense through the Committee for Natural Disaster Management has invited all local government units to apply for the program "Fund for Natural Disaster Management". This fund with a total value of 4 million $ can be benefited by all municipalities which must submit their projects for taking preventive and rehabilitation measures against disasters, damaged infrastructure and other activities in the field of Civil Protection.

Inauguration of the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, Peleshi: The first step towards the establishment of a modern Civil Protection system

The National Civil Emergency Operational Center of the National Civil Protection Agency is inaugurated today. It was made possible thanks to a 1 million euro grant from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
In the ceremony held on this occasion, the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi described this as a very important investment, which brings a different high standard in the service and management of the Civil Protection system in Albania.
