Earthquake, Prime Minister Rama gathers the structures at Ministry of Defense: Every citizen in difficulty must be contacted

Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka underlined the measures that were taken to accommodate citizens who refuse to go in their houses and the proceedings with the damage assessment, in a meeting with Prefects, Heads of the Armed Forces and Civil Emergencies, also attended by Prime Minister Rama and Minister of Interior Sandër Lleshaj.

Ministry of Defense makes available three bank account number to support all families affected by the recent earthquake on 21 September 2019 involving several regions of the country.
Voluntary contributions from businesses, associations and individuals for supporting the affected residents can be deposited in the following bank accounts

Regional Support Battalion assists earthquake - affected residents

As a result of the civil emergency created by this afternoon's earthquake, which hit our country, especially Durrës and Tirana, the Regional Support Battalion at the Support Command is in readiness and has been working all night to shelter in tents citizens left out as a result of damage to their houses.
In cooperation with the Civil Emergency Office of Tirana and Durrës districts are set up: 2 campings in Tirana , respectively at Dinamo Stadium and at 'Liqeni i Thatë' and 1 center in the city of Durrës.

The New Academic Year, Xhaçka announced the good news: AFA will be accredited as a higher education institution

The Council of Ministers is expected to approve soon the special status for the Armed Forces Academy, paving the way for a radical change in the military education system in our country.
It enables not only the opening of first bachelor studies but also full accreditation of AFA and academic programs.
Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, shared the news with students and professors of the Armed Forces Academy at the beginning of the New Academic Year 2019 - 2020, where the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Besa Shahini was also invited.
