Armed Forces Academy will regain its function as an institution of the higher education, and this year the Academy opens the doors for those who want to study in Security and Defense.

Albania - France Cooperation Plan for 2020 is signed increasing the interaction in the Defense Field

France and Albania intensify their defense cooperation. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of the Armed Forces of the Republic of France signed the Cooperation plan for 2020. 

General Director of Defense Policies Florian Kali and the Military Attaché of the Republic of France in Tirana, Colonel Fabrice Duda, signed the document that anticipate a series of activities of common interest in the Education and Professional Training, as well as intensifying the interaction in the maritime and aerospace fields.

Ministry of Defence and UNDP launch new policy and procedures against sexual assault and sexual harassment in the Armed Forces

The Ministry of Defense has already a policy and procedures dedicated to the fight against sexual assault and sexual harassment in the Ministry and in the Armed Forces. In cooperation with UNDP Albania, in a special event, the “Policy and procedures against harassment and sexual harassment” was introduced, with the participation of Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, the Ambassador of Sweden in Tirana; Mrs. Elsa Håstad; the UNDP Permanent Representative in our country, Ms. Limya Eltayeb; representatives of the Armed Forces, line ministries, woman's rights associations in Albania, etc.

The integrated maritime surveillance, MoD and Lockheed Martin signed the agreement

The Ministry of Defense and the giant of US military industry, Lockheed Martin signed the agreement on the management of the Integrated Maritime Surveillance System (SIVHD).

The company that designed SIVDH after a few years is again under contract.
In the presence of the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, the contract was signed by the Deputy Chief of the Naval Force Captain Artur Meçollari and the Representative of Lockheed Martin Company Michael Stoner.
