Vlora: Armed Forces on the ground to assist residents

All civil emergency structures have remained on the ground since yesterday afternoon, working to address the issues caused by heavy rainfall. Thanks to the overnight efforts and the cessation of rain, the situation has improved.

In Vlora, the situation worsened due to heavy water inflows, with issues reported at pumping stations. In response, after a request for support from local authorities, the National Civil Protection Agency and the Armed Forces provided assistance with 2 motorboats, 2 teams equipped with water pumps, 8 high-mobility vehicles, and 30 military personnel.

Albania hosts event on cybersecurity and hybrid threats in Southeast Europe. Fires in Greece, Albania provides assistance with firefighters and equipment

The Ministry of Defense of Albania has swiftly responded to the Greek authorities' request for assistance in extinguishing the wildfires that have been raging for three days in Xilocastro, Peloponnese.
In coordination with the Civil Protection Agency and the European Civil Protection Mechanism, Albania will send 30 firefighters and 5 firefighting vehicles to support the operations in Greece.
