Xhaçka decorates United States Defense Attaché: Relations with the USA in a new and qualitative stage

Today Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka awarded the "Medal of Gratitude" to the outgoing United States Defense Attaché Captain Sam G. Wartell, who finished his two-year mandate. At the special ceremony attended by US Ambassador to Tirana Donald Lu, Minister Xhaçka welcomed the new Defense Attaché Captain James Hilton.

The Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka appreciated the two-year contribution of Captain Wartell two-year to further enhance the level of cooperation in the field of Defense and Security between Albania and the United States. Regarding the United States of America as the main strategic partner in the field of defense, Minister Xhaçka underlined the fact that these relations have now entered a new and more qualitative stage.

Xhaçka in Dropull and Delvinë: Two new bridges for 6000 residents. The AAF close to the community even during holidays

From today, 6.000 residents of 10 villages in the Municipalities of Dropull and Delvinë have facilitated access to the rest of their municipality and to the rest of the country. The Engineering Battalion of the Armed Forces has built in just a few days, two bridges in Vanë and Llongo, which were damaged earlier this month due to the extreme weather conditions. The Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka during the inspection of the two bridges assured the community that the Armed Forces will continue to be near them not only during the holidays, but every day of the year.

“Holidays Need Love”, Xhaçka with the children of Infant House “Hannah and Rozafa”

Children who have lost their parental care or are in danger of losing it are not left alone to celebrate this new year's eve. The Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka joined the initiative of the Ministry of Health and Social Care, "Holidays Need Love", to celebrate together with the vulnerable part of the society. Minister Xhaxha chose to celebrate with the smallest children in the Infant House "Hannah and Rozafa" in Tirana, who unfortunately lack parental love.

Minister Xhaçka shared some affection and warmth on these festive days. She distributed gifts for these children, and she also participated in a show with animators and the most beloved characters for the little ones.

Awarded the “Medal of Gratitude” to the Armed Forces Wind Band

On the New Year's Eve, the Armed Forces Orchestra (OFFA) was awarded the "Medal of Gratitude" by the Municipality of Tirana. In the presence of dozens of art lovers and sympathizers, the Armed Forces Orchestra performed on the "Scanderbeg" Square the most famous parts.

Present at this event, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka thanked the OFFA and expressed her appreciation. "The medal of gratitude that is awarded to you today is an expression of gratitude and reverence, for which we as Armed Forces are absolutely very grateful. But you who are the face of the Army have long found the key to the hearts of all Albanians", - said Minister Xhaçka.

The Armed Forces build two "bailey" bridges in Delvina and Dropull

The Armed Forces have completed the construction of two other "bailey" bridges, one in the village of Vana in the Municipality of Delvina and the other in the Municipality of Dropulli.

In the village of Vana Delvina, the Support Command Officers repaired 21 meters of existing bridge and constructed an additional 12 meters, leading to 33 meters the length of this bridge, which bears a weight of about 15 tons.

The construction of this bridge was vital for about 1000 inhabitants of this area, enabling the connection to Delvina - Saranda national axis.
