NCPA certifies the Volunteer Rapid Response Team

Today was certified the Rapid Response Volunteer Team. The team was trained for several months, and this was concluded from LëvizAlbania. The volunteers of this team were provided with the relevant certificates from NCPA and are considered part of the network of volunteers in cases of natural disasters. In the ceremony held on the occasion, the General Director of the National Civil Defense Agency Mr. Haki Çako emphasized this initiative, describing it as a vision which serves the Civil Defense, but also the creation of a permanent culture for the formation , training and establishment of volunteer networks in Albania.

Minister Peleshi welcomes the effectives who returned from the operation in Turkey

Defense Minister Niko Peleshi, also accompanied by the Chief of General Staff, Brigadier General Arben Kingji received the effectives who returned from the mission of solidarity to areas destroyed by the February 6th earthquake on the border between Turkey and Syria. In his speech, Minister Peleshi expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, the Albanian Government and the people, for the work done by members of the teams who were engaged in the field since the early moments, after the call for assistance by the Turkish authorities and the European Mechanism of Civil Protection.

Completed the Search and Rescue Operation in Turkey, Albanian troops were welcomed with a round of applause

The Albanian team that participated in the Search and Rescue Operations in Turkey, completed their work and are returning home. After 11 days of intense work, about 85 troop, including effectives of the Armed Forces, Civil Emergencies and health teams, were accompanied with applause by the representatives of Turkish authorities, but also citizens, who expressed gratitude for their contribution. The moment of escorting Albanian troops is also broadcast by the Turkish IHA news agency (Ihlas Haber Agency).

Challenging weather and terrain, Albanian Search and Rescue team continues operations in Turkey

73 forces of the Search and Rescue teams of Albania are part of the rescuing operations since Tuesday in the areas affected by the February 6 earthquake.

Part of our team located in Malatya, Turkey, is working under extremely difficult conditions due to the ruins of tall buildings, and low temperatures. They are working non-stop to rescue survivors or the bodies of the victims who lost their lives in Monday's earthquake.

Turkey-Syria earthquake, Albania sends a solidarity mission to Turkey to help Search and Rescue Operations

The Albanian Government has immediately responded to the call for help, after the devastating earthquake on the Turkey-Syria border, which caused numerous victims, injuries and significant damage.

An aid mission from the Armed Forces of Albania and the National Civil Defense Agency, consisting of 53 medical personnel, search and rescue specialists and 7 vehicles, left for Turkey, where they will participate in Search-and-Rescue Operations and alleviate the consequences of this tragedy.
