March 8, Peleshi: The role of woman and their number in the Armed Forces increased

There is an increase in the number of women in the Armed Forces. Meanwhile, they are given more and more responsibilities, as they are taking new leadership roles and facing new challenges.
On the occasion of March 8, a meeting was organized by the Albanian Armed Forces and the Office of Defense Cooperation. It was attended by the Defense Minister Niko Peleshi, US Ambassador Yuri Kim, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Bajram Begaj, Deputy Major General Manushaqe Shehu, Commander of New Jersey National Guard, Brigadier General Lisa Hou, as well as many military women from both the Albanian and American Armed Forces.

The First Contingent departs in the mission "KFOR - 1" in Kosovo, Peleshi: We increase the responsibility in these days of challenges for peace

A group of 30 commandos from the Albanian Armed Forces have joined the NATO international mission, codenamed "KFOR - 1" in Peja, Kosovo. The deployment ceremony of the contingent in this mission was held in the presence of Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Assoc. Prof. Bajram Begaj and the commanders of the forces.

Deputy Minister Bici receives the Commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari

Deputy Defence Minister Dallëndyshe Bici received in a meeting the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari.
After congratulating him on taking up his new post, Bici congratulated Lieutenant General Jashari on the very positive progress the KSF has made, mainly with the help of its joint strategically, the United States.

Physicians in uniform visit Libohova residents

After the remote areas of Maliq, the military doctors stopped in Libohova where they provided specialized medical service for the inhabitants of this area which lacks this service.
The white coats of the Armed Forces conducted about 60 medical visits, mainly pulmonary (post-COVID). They also performed orthopedic and cardiac visits, where they perform electrocardiogram (ECG) tests.

Minister Peleshi receives the Commander of KFOR: We are increasing the contribution of the Albanian Armed Forces in this mission

The Albanian Armed Forces will further increase its troop contribution to the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR.Defence Minister Niko Peleshi received in a courtesy meeting the commander of KFOR, Major General Ferenc Kajári, in the framework of the latter's visit to our country.
After welcoming him, Minister Peleshi thanked Major General Kajári for the leadership shown in this important mission, not only for Kosovo, but for the entire Western Balkans region. He praised the irreplaceable role that KFOR has in creating and maintaining a safe environment, as well as for freedom of movement throughout the territory of Kosovo, but also in the wider region.
